2023 EnduroGP World Championship entry list – Runners and riders for Italian GP, Rnd1 (plus Billy Bolt...)

Official rider entry list for the 2023 EnduroGP World Championship round one in Arma di Taggia, Italy on March 31-April 2. Enduro21 checks out who’s in it to win it across all senior, junior, youth and women’s classes and spot some guy called Billy Bolt.

The World Enduro Championship will streak deeper in to its third decade in just two weekend’s time with the opening round of the 2023 FIM EnduroGP series.

This year’s championship kicks-off in the Northern Italian coastal town of Arma di Taggia, close to Sanremo in Italy, not far from the French border on the Mediterranean coast.

Enduro21 already previewed the riders you might want to watch this season here but with the FIM releasing the pre-entry list for the opening round we’ve got the notebook and pencil out again for some fresh facts…

2023 Italian EnduroGP, Rnd1 fast facts:

Italy has the most numerous entries (excluding the Open classes) with approaching 40 riders for this opening round, unsurprisingly. But most are in fact entered for the full season, not just their home race however.
They are followed by France, Great Britain and Spain on the most numerous list which includes 18 different nations from three continents.
Refreshingly this season, riders are spread pretty evenly across the three senior classes: E1, E2 and E3 giving each world title more of an equal billing. Almost to a man and woman, everyone is arriving fit and healthy it seems for the ’23 season which promises much with riders on new bikes and fresh incentives to make amends/do better than last year.
E1 houses some flying former world champions including the reigning Junior champ Zach Pichon stepping up to the seniors alongside Josep Garcia who returns to the 250 4T KTM this season.
E2 class still has arguably the most (half a dozen at least) potential winners in there fighting for overall and class honours including the reigning world champion Andrea Verona who steps up to the class on a GASGAS 350.
The big bike, E3 class could have been accused of lacking strength in depth in previous years but the class of ’23 is very solid with a healthy mix of big two and four-stroke bikes from almost all manufacturers including 2024 KTM/Husqvarnas.
A very healthy 30-plus riders are entered in the Youth class with the most diverse entries nationally including Argentinian, Chilean, Israeli riders.
The Enduro Women’s World Championship looks super-healthy too with 15 riders and some solid pre-season performances from Honda RedMoto’s Francesca Nocera and the diminutive Rieju Racing duo of Maria Badia and Rosie Rowett – Jane Daniels will have a harder task on her hands this season we’re sure.
