Privateer Dakar Rally rider Neil Hawker guides us around the KTM 450 Rally bike he is all set to race in the Original by Motul class in Saudi Arabia – from tool kits, fuel tanks and tyres to what the hell all those handlebar controls do.

The 2021 Dakar Rally kicks-off today, January 2 with the 129km prologue before the official rally race start on Sunday, January 3. British rider Hawker is competing in the class which puts riders on their own for the 12-day race, basically racing out of a box and with no outside assistance.
