French Enduro Championship: Zach Pichon Wins in Saint-Agrève

Sherco Racing's Zach Pichon dominated round four of the 2024 French Enduro Championship winning both days racing in Saint-Agrève, topping the E2 category and securing double victories over the weekend. 

The French national championship took advantage of the gap in the calendar before the final round of the EnduroGP of France, which will take place from 13th to 15th September in Briode, to hold its fourth round last weekend in Saint-Agrève, in the Rhône-Alpes region, in the southeast of the country.

This penultimate event of the 24MX 2024 French Enduro Championship was organised by the Moto Club Les Razmottes with two days of racing. Interestingly, for the first time, it was preceded by a Super Test on Friday.

Day 1 – Pichon the Fastest Beyond this anecdote, Hugo Blanjoue in E1, Zach Pichon in E2, and Luc Fargier in E3 were the dominant riders in the three main Elite categories on the sunny and rather dusty first day in Saint-Agrève.

Day 2 - Pichon, Blanjoue... and Magain

On Sunday, despite the rain, Hugo Blanjoue and Zach Pichon once again stood atop the podium in the E1 and E2 categories respectively. Meanwhile, Antoine Magain, now recovered from his injury, claimed victory in E3.

Championship Standings...

With just one round remaining in Langeac (25th and 26th October), and after eight consecutive victories this season, it seems unlikely that the E1 title will slip away from Marseille's Hugo Blanjoue of the Elite Factory Honda team, who holds a 34-point lead over Till De Clercq.

The gap is much smaller in E2, where Zach Pichon holds a five-point lead over Théo Espinasse. For Espinasse, riding for Beta, only a victory in the final round will suffice if he wants to snatch the title from the 2022 Junior World Champion.

In E3, Luc Fargier of the Dafy Enduro Team is in a strong position with a nine-point lead over Julien Roussaly and Anthony Geslin, who are both tied with 129 points in second and third place on the leaderboard.
