Entries open for the 2021 Trèfle Lozérien – France’s biggest classic enduro

Entries open for the biggest enduro in France, the Trèfle Lozérien in early June 2021 – 600 kilometres of pure enduro await the riders for the event which was cancelled in 2020.

Today, Tuesday February 2, will see entries open for the 35^th edition of the classic French enduro. Set a reminder of 8pm tonight but only if you entered the 2020 event, which had to be cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The initial ‘window’ for 2020 entrants then closes Sunday, February 7, at midnight with the remaining open entry beginning on February 13 at slightly baffling 11:00pm.

But if you’re looking to race this French classic then be quick, in previous years the places available have sold out in less than five minutes.

The 2021 Le Tref will run for the traditional three days of pure enduro with three separate routes of around 200 kilometres in the Lozere hills and mountains around the town of Mende.

This year it will not form part of the series formerly known as WESS after the championship morphed into the new Hard Enduro World Championship and dropped the mixed event format. The reality is the classic French Enduros need little help in getting riders.

For 2021 the organization has announced a purse of €22,000 at an event which is always a big attraction for riders like Josep Garcia and Jamie McCanney who take on the French grass test specialist riders at their own game.
