First look: 2021 KTM 450 Rally Replica

KTM’s 450 Rally Replica model gets a transmission upgrade for 2021 developed by the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Rally riders Toby Price, Matthias Walkner and Sam Sunderland.

KTM’s limited production 450 Rally Replica model, the choice of so many privateer rally riders around the globe, has always closely matched the spec of the KTM Factory race bikes – a customer bike designed to meet the toughest demands of rally competition better do the job or else. In a world where race replica monikers are often misplaced, there’s no doubting the credentials of this machine.

For 2021, KTM has made improvements to further improve that reliability with a brand-new gearbox, revised shift mechanism and a wider spread of gear ratios – the direct influence of gearbox manufacturers PANKL Racing Systems working alongside the KTM Motorsport department and the Factory Rally team.

KTM say the three Red Bull KTM Factory Racing riders – all of whom have sampled Dakar Rally winning success in the last half a decade – assisted in the finalization of gearing ratios in the new Replica model. The result is the 2021 450 Rally will have the same gear ratios as those found on the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Rally machines.

The 2021 KTM 450 Rally Replica is a limited edition model restricted to 85 units worldwide. The price tag is fixed at EUR 25.900 (plus VAT & shipping) with availability from September 2020 onwards.

A service and support package is available for a limited number of KTM riders at the Dakar Rally at an additional cost for all KTM Rally models.
