First Look: 2026 Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raid – evolution aimed at the rider

Yamaha has refreshed its long-range Tenere 700 World Raid for 2026 with upgrades focused on more torque, electronics, and suspension — an evolution rather than redesign, but aimed squarely at improving the ride experience for adventure and rally touring riders.

More torque and new ride-by-wire

The Euro 5+ compliant CP2 engine gains extra low-rpm torque thanks to a revised air intake. Throttle cables are gone, replaced by Yamaha's YCC-T ride-by-wire with Sport and Explorer power modes, switchable while riding with closed throttle.

Full IMU and rider aids

A new 6-axis IMU powers lean-sensitive traction control, slide control and cornering ABS, all with configurable Street, Off Road and Off settings including proper ABS rear-off options for dirt use.

Lighter twin tanks and new rally seat

The aluminium dual fuel tanks are now 1.5kg lighter but still 23 litres for 500km range. A lower tank profile and new one-piece rally seat improve rider movement standing or seated.

Upgraded KYB suspension

New fully adjustable KYB suspension includes 46mm Kashima-coated forks (was 43mm) and increased rear stroke with revised linkage, aimed at better control and resistance to bottoming off-road.

Touring upgrades

Cruise control and a Speed Limiter are now standard along with a 6.3-inch vertical TFT display offering Street, Explorer and Raid views. New windscreen, deflectors and USB-C charging improve long-distance comfort.

New rally styling and options

Styling is subtly sharper with a redesigned LED headlight and cockpit but maintains the recognisable T7 silhouette. Wheel sizes remain 21/18. Colours are Redline White and Midnight Black with over 60 Yamaha accessories available from launch.
