Quick look: Honda Updates 2025 CRF300L and CRF300 Rally

Honda announce 2025 CRF300L and CRF300 Rally baby Adventure bike minor updates including new suspension settings and lights.

The long list of model updates from Honda for the 2025 model range doesn’t include too many motorcycles which Enduro21 is stopping to take a look at.

This week is the start of the EICMA Motorcycle Show, the start of the European show season in fact and it is fair to say the manufacturers are going big on wide model ranges and a particular increase in both Chinese manufacturers and electric bikes.

The original big hitter, the big red, has two new versions of the CRF family on show in Milan. Though nothing major mechanically has changed both popular dual-sport CRF300 models receive detail updates aiming to letting you see better in the dark and have cooler legs, while new suspension settings should help the ride quality.

“Improved heat management” means the radiator fan has been moved slightly with a redesigned protective shroud and side cover which they say directs warm air away from the rider more. 

Mechanically they are unchanged for 2025 and specification on both these models is the same with identical main components. That includes the user-friendly single-cylinder engine (now EURO5+ compliant) with six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch.

The 2025 CRF300L also has a new LED headlight and compact LED indicators.

The steel frame-based chassis sees “revised damping settings” on both CRF300 models. Honda say “damping rates at both ends have been revised for 25YM to create a more stable, comfortable platform for riders.”

The major difference between them, besides the Rally style bodywork versus trail bike plastics, is the weight. The 300 L is a claimed 142kg while the Rally is 153kg kerb weight.
