First look: Husqvarna Motorcycles 2022 MX and Cross-Country Models

Husqvarna Motorcycles have announced the first of their 2022 off-road motorcycle line-up, the new Motocross and Cross-Country models.

Along with a new twist in the “Swedish-inspired” dark blue and white colour scheme, the FC/TC and FX/TX two-stroke and four-stroke range will each now feature a Brembo hydraulic clutch system, a “high-performance component thoroughly race-tested to guarantee even wear, near maintenance-free operation and perfect action in all conditions”.

That means a change to the long-standing Magura systems on the Husqvarna off-road models, matching the KTM equivalent machines.

Behind that switch, the 2022 models are largely unchanged which means the same line-up of two-stroke machines beginning with the TC 125 and TC 250 and moving up to the TX 300i with the fuel injection system in the 300cc powerplant.

The four-stroke stable features the FC 250, FC 350 and FC 450 plus the FX 350 and FX 450 machines in the off-road or dual-sport range. For 2022 the four-stroke engine on all models has a new friction bearing on the counter-balancer shaft which Husqvarna say increases durability of the high-revving engines.

The MX and XC models share the same basic platform but the Cross-Country range features larger capacity fuel tanks, side stands and 21/18-inch D.I.D DirtStar wheels fitted with Dunlop Geomax AT81 tyres.

Husqvarna Motorcycles has also announced the full range of minicycles for 2022. The TC 50, TC 65, TC 85 and EE 5 models receive the same new dark blue and white graphics.
