KTM Resumes Motorcycle Production

KTM has announce the restart of its production operations in Mattighofen on July 28, returning to a full-time, five-day work week with Off-road models set to be first out the door.

Marking a line in the sand following the financial issues for the Austrian manufacturer, new KTMs will once again be rolling off the production lines at KTM HQ in Mattighofen.

The good news is production will kick off with the off-road line-up meaning we should likely see 2026 KTM EXC enduro bikes, plus SX and XC we expect following the statement from KTM that the off-road segment will start the ball rolling.

The bad news, or maybe the silent part about this news release, is whether and how quickly those of us wanting bike parts will see supplies returning to dealers. It’s been a long while coming since the news that KTM had agreed terms and sufficient financial backing to spark itself back into life. But parts supply has been a problem for riders using their bikes and naturally needing replacements and we don't see mention of that.

Alongside the Offroad segment, KTM say they will resume production of its LC4 platform models, including the KTM 690 ENDURO R and KTM 690 SMC R.

The propaganda video here shows the bikes back in production beginning with a SX-F but does not mention parts.
