French Extreme Enduro: Mario Roman onboard

Onboard with race winner Mario Roman for some serious Romaniacs training at the opening round of the French Extreme Enduro series Enduraid des Gorges de l'Allier.

The Sherco Factory team headed to Gorges de l'Allier supporting the French Extreme Challenge series for some serious training hours on the bikes ahead of the Red Bull Romaniacs in just two weeks on October 27.

The Enduraid race format was a Friday night prologue in the dark (added at the end of this video) which Mario won despite the heavy crash on the first lap.

The main event ran three laps of 50 km increasing the level of difficulty each lap. Lap one saw Young and Roman on each other’s tail all the way before lap two saw Wade take a lead and finish a minute clear.

At the beginning of the third lap Roman says “things got quite complicated” and he gained advantage on a difficult climb that would see teh Spaniard go on to take a 12 minutes victory at the finish line. Third placed rider was Julien Gauthier almost an hour and a half behind in third!
