Quick Look: Acerbis X-TEAM 2.0 boots – certified enduro/adventure protection at a sensible price

Acerbis has introduced the X-TEAM 2.0, a new off-road boot aimed at enduro riders looking for certified protection, comfort and a lightweight feel without moving into premium boot pricing.

Positioned as an all-round option, the X-TEAM 2.0 looks designed for riders getting started in enduro, but also for anyone who wants a reliable boot for regular riding without paying top-tier money. At €199.95, the price is clearly one of the main talking points.

Acerbis has gone for a three-buckle construction, a solution that helps keep the overall weight down while still aiming to give enough support around the foot and lower leg. It is a trend we have seen other boot brands embracing, especially those focused more on the hard enduro side, where riders are often off the bike and a lighter boot helps make pushing more comfortable, but also those aimed at adventure riders who spend long hours in the saddle.

Once on, the boot is shaped to follow the rider’s foot, ankle and calf, with internal padding designed to give a snug fit without feeling too restrictive. Comfort has also been considered with a 3D Mesh inner lining, designed to improve breathability and help absorb sweat during long days on the bike.

The rubber gaiter has a tapered shape to wrap closely around the calf and help keep dust, mud and debris out of the boot. Acerbis has also paid extra attention to the heel area, one of the zones that takes plenty of hits in off-road, using elastomeric material to help absorb impacts while keeping comfort in mind.

On the outside, the X-TEAM 2.0 gets a vulcanized rubber heat shield in the contact area between the boot and the bike. That should help resist heat, wear and cuts in one of the areas that usually takes plenty of abuse. The toe area is also reinforced for repeated gear shifts and impacts from rocks, ruts or trail debris.

The bonded sole is designed to keep the boot light and give decent feel on the bike. It uses a dual-density structure with reinforcements in the highest-wear areas, including the footpeg and brake pedal zones, aiming to balance durability, grip and control without making the boot feel overly bulky.

Closure comes from three micrometric hooks, combined with Velcro on the gaiter for a secure fit. Acerbis has also included smaller practical details, such as internal hexagonal inserts to improve grip when carrying the boots by hand.

The Acerbis X-TEAM 2.0 is certified to EN 13634:2017 Level 2 standards, which is important at this price point. It is available in nine colour options and sizes from 39 to 47.

At €199.95, the X-TEAM 2.0 looks like a sensible option for enduro and adventure riders who want a certified boot with the key protection features covered, but without stepping into the higher-price end of the market.
