Quick look: OXA replacement subframes for KTM off-road models

New off-road products from Spanish “two-stroke specialist” OXA – well known for their hand-made exhaust systems – have a range of replacement aluminium subframes for KTM (2004-2023) plus Rieju and GASGAS models.

Enduro21 already brought you our pick of the best new products and bikes on display at the 2025 EICMA show but nestled in there was a part we know lots of people cry out for.

Aluminium subframes are common place on enduro and off-road bikes, strong enough yet lightweight, they hold exhausts, rear fenders and riders in place.

They’re great until you start throwing your bike at trees or down hills. They they can have issues!

When it comes to replacing them the OEM parts can be tricky and we know from personal experience at Enduro21 that finding a good aftermarket replacement can be tricky – that’s particularly true in the last year or so when KTM parts have been hard to come by.

Need a subframe?

OXA is one solution for that problem as manufacturers of replica aluminium subframes for KTM, GASGAS, and Rieju off-road models.

Available for KTM (2004 – 2023) and GASGAS models with the fully aluminium type subframes, that means nearly two decades of EXC up to but before the model update to TBI (which has a mixed material subframe).

Subframes for the old GasGas enduro bikes from 2018 onwards and the current Rieju enduro models are also in the range.

Jarvis approved

OXA is a brand from a Spanish manufacturer that’s actually a historical key player in enduro. The founding company, Technigas, based in the off-road manufacturing hotspot around Girona in northern Spain, made original parts for the old GasGas factory and bikes.

These days you’ll see their work as OEM parts on the Rieju enduro models (among others) and famously the exhausts systems fitted to Graham Jarvis’s race bike.

They proudly call themselves two-stroke specialists, and their parts list includes a sweet range of exhausts (header pipes and mufflers) for a wide range of bikes – including one of our own, a YZ250.

The OXA ethos seems to be high quality, with a “dedication and love for this industry, which is reflected in the quality and detail”, they say. Specialising in off-road, they add they are dedicated to ensuring each product “meets the highest quality standards and meets the expectations of its customer”.

More good stuff coming from OXA

On the horizon also is a replacement ECU for KTM models. Planned for SX125 and all 300 two-stroke models, it will have all the mapping and fuelling control you could need, with presets for different riding conditions and types of riding, plus different exhaust systems and more.
