Wild Woods Extreme Enduro: Mario Roman and Jonny Walker fight for Italian Hard Enduro win

Video highlights and results from the 2023 Wild Woods Extreme Enduro, the opening round of the Italian championship, which brought out big hitters including eventual winner Mario Roman and Jonny Walker for a dose of international competition ahead of the Hard Enduro World Championship season starting in less than one month’s time in Serbia.

The Wild Woods Extreme has a good reputation running at the Pro Park Genova, where mud, steep climbs and gulleys were made harder this year by rain leading up to the event.

The main competition consisted two heats, Race 1 and the Finale Race for the 15 fastest. Mario Roman went quickest in the main, two hour final ahead of Jonny Walker and Dominik Olszowy.

The shorter, one hour shootout grand finale saw a similar scenario at the front with Mario and Jonny duking it out but Roman was relentless and ran clear and Walker made a mistakes, letting Sonny Goggia through for P2 on the overall podium. Matty Green and Mitch Brightmore completed the top five.
