Worth a look: Ride Engineering Complete Replacement Front Brake Kit for Off-Road

US-brand Ride Engineering have announced a “plug and play” front brake kit of caliper, brake hose and master cylinder ready to ride for enduro/off-road and motocross bikes.

Not a brake expert but your bike has a tired or old front brake which isn’t working? Want a new front brake – front brake master cylinder, brake hose and caliper with pads and bled  that’s simply “plug and play”?

Ride Engineering is now offering a complete front brake system that is fully bled and ready to be bolted on to your machine.

US off-road experts Ride Engineering initially developed this kit for a YZ450F, making it a natural fit for any Yam YZ and WR machine but is also available for KTM, Husqvarna, GASGAS, Kawasaki, Beta, Triumph, Suzuki and Honda they say.

Some of the above models (Honda, KTM, Gas, Husq, Triumph) will also require a Ride Engineering hanger bracket which are only available for 270mm rotors (add $180 for a Ride Eng Pulse Rotor kit unless you already have a 270mm disc, then the only add $75 for their hanger bracket).

Sure, you can buy any of these individual parts and/or do it yourself, but we thought this was a cool idea and was worth sharing as not everyone is 100% trustworthy in their own skills in the workshop.

The complete kit details:

• 11mm Nissin front brake master cylinder assembly with lever, dust cover and choice of red, blue, green or black master cylinder cover
• braided steel front brake line in black or silver with black, green, blue or red billet brake line mount
• billet aluminium banjo bolts in black, red or blue
• billet brake caliper in black, brown, or silver complete with all components less brake pads (your brake pads will fit)
• fully assembled and bled with dot 4 brake fluid
• Price: $999.90

Most of the above parts which make up the complete kit are sold individually. The Nissin master cylinder assembly for example is $280, their own caliper is $499.95 and brake lines for $34.95.

This kit comes full assembled and bled up ready to fit and ride.
