Zach Pichon out of Team France for the 2023 ISDE Argentina

The 2022 Junior Enduro World Champion, Zachary Pichon, has ruled himself out of the World Trophy Team France for the upcoming 2023 ISDE in Argentina – The Sherco rider has an old wrist injury and will be replaced by Julien Roussaly

It may not be the most appropriate way to do it, but Zach Pichon has shared through his social media that " with much regret" he will not defend the french shirt in the next 2023 International Six Days of Enduro of Argentina this November.

The French Motorcycling Federation (FFM) communicated the list of riders selected by France for the ISDE 2023 of Argentina 2023 earlier this July without knowing for sure if the former Junior Enduro World Champion, one of strong names in the squad would be ready for the event. Although Pichon, who has been suffering from wrist issues for some time, has been quick to say that he has other plans for after the EnduroGP season.

“I will not be able to be present in this race due to a physical problem”, said Zach about his decision not to travel to Argentina. “At the beginning of my first season in Enduro, when I was still racing MX, I dislocated my wrist and that causes me to have a hard time on the second day at the end of the race.”

“Thanks to a carpal tunnel operation last winter, there was a marked improvement. However, I would like to take advantage of the winter holidays to take care of my wrist again and seek solutions with my surgeon so that I don't have any more worries in the future".

Focused on the EnduroGP World Championship and the Spanish National Championship

A painful decision made with the team in mind, since running in Argentina “for six days in a competition that will be particularly demanding due to the conditions of the terrain (desert and very rocky)” and could jeopardize the aspirations of the French team.

In fact, his debut in the senior categories of the Enduro World Championship is not going as well as expected for the young Frenchman, who was miraculously unharmed in the Spanish GP after a mistake on the road while heading to tests.

“I prefer that, this season, we stick to our two main objectives initially planned with Sherco Factory and my sponsors, finishing on the podium of the E1 World Championship and being Champion in Spain”.
